Biography:

Flutist Jennifer Toro Mazzoni loves to explore new challenges through music and share that joy with audiences through performances as a soloist and chamber musician.  Her passion for performing has taken her across the country to play adventurous repertoire spanning from the earliest periods of the flute through premiers of new music from today’s composers.  Growing up in St. Louis, MO, she studied with Jan Gippo and Mark Sparks of the St. Louis symphony, and pursued her graduate degree with Thomas Robertello at Indiana University.  With a special love of the orchestra, Jennifer has appeared as concerto soloist (Nielson, Rouse, Bach Brandenburg Concerti, and others) as well as within many orchestras including the St. Louis Symphony.  She and her husband Matthew Mazzoni perform actively as the Mazzoni Duo, and together they were recent prizewinners of the Artist Presentation Society.  They both balance careers of recital and ensemble performances, a passion to serve others, and family life (which includes 3 children and a dog!).  Jennifer is thrilled to be part of this collective and embraces the opportunity to bring amazing music to new audiences.
